Microsoft Innovative Educator (MIE) Teacher Academy
This one-day professional learning experience is designed for the K-12 classroom educator who wants to learn more about Microsoft’s best tools and resources for classroom learning. Bring your own Windows 8.1 or 10 device to learn how to most effectively use the latest version of Windows, including basic navigation and Windows Apps. Discover Office Mix, Sway, and OneNote, including how digital notebooks can be created and used as a productivity tool for educators and students. This training will also cover how easy it is to use cloud-based tools in Office 365 for education and Skype in the Classroom, including how to take advantage of storage on OneDrive, and how to work collaboratively with others all through the cloud. Attendees will also receive complimentary Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) and Microsoft Certified Educator (MCE) exam vouchers to advance their professional development.
The Ultimate Collaboration Tool: An Introduction to OneNote and Class Notebook
This course is designed to empower educators to navigate through the OneNote structure and to organize and prepare lessons, student assignments, and tests. The course guides educators to create digital notebooks that support academic standards and education outcomes across disciplines and tasks. Participants develop the basic skills needed to use OneNote as a productivity tool for both themselves and their students. Time will be devoted to assist teachers in understanding how OneNote can be used as a true collaborative tool. Teachers will experience OneNote Class notebook creator to drive content delivery and content creation. If time allows, Interactive lessons will be created using the tools in OneNote which will then immediately transfer to classroom practice.
Windows 10
This course has participants dive deeper into the seamless experience of Windows 8.1, learning and experiencing all the operating system can do in the classroom, including how to make the work environment more streamlined across PC or tablet. The training will focus on navigation, the Start screen and Live tiles, personalization, exploring the desktop, Charms, and navigating the Windows Store and working with apps that align to State Standards. If time allows (and if applicable) participants will learn how to set up email, the beauty of curated searching with Bing, OneDrive file organization and how to personalize the device to make it work for you. Participants will leave the session feeling comfortable and knowledgeable about how Windows 8.1 truly reimagines teaching and learning for educators and students.

In today’s digital world, technology and electronic media are used by educators and students to make the ‘Teaching-learning’ process dynamic, interactive, fun and yet effective. It becomes easy for educators and students to collaborate with each other. This course is designed to empower educators with the ability to make effective use of Microsoft OneDrive and Office Online in classrooms and beyond in a way that truly supports them to collaborate, store and share documents and files with students and fellow educators.
