Classrooms for the Future was part of EdTechTrain’s recorded work in Pennsylvania. The later project list described a three-year laptop cart initiative, while the earlier page provided access to coaches’ training and Open Box training materials.
Coaches’ training
The original page directed participants to training materials for coaches. The coaching role connected technology introduction with lesson planning, teacher support and classroom use.
A practical coaching conversation starts with a learning goal, looks at the tools available to the teacher and identifies a manageable activity to try. Feedback after the lesson helps turn an initial demonstration into a repeatable classroom practice.
Open Box training
The archived page included an Open Box training wiki and a login area. Those historical login services are not re-created here. This page preserves the project context and links to the educational material that can be read without an old account.
From laptop access to a learning activity
- Plan how devices will be distributed and used during the lesson.
- Check the learning materials and software before class.
- Design a task that requires students to think, create or collaborate.
- Allow teachers time to practise and discuss classroom routines.
